September is creeping up on us which means that Sustainable Fashion Week is fast approaching. From the 20th-29th September you can find tons of events taking place all over the UK as well as online and I'm so happy to be taking part again for the Frome hub.
Alongside that I'm very excited to be involved in the 'Worn Out in Frome' exhibition put on by Lucy Gundry and am busy curating pieces that I've mended over the last few years for some wonderful local people.
"An exhibition of worn and mended items of dress from the collection at Frome Museum and on loan from visible mender and author Skye Pennant. Each item tells the story of a life worn out through clothes in Frome. Curated by Lucy Gundry."
You'll be able to visit the exhibition at Frome Museum as well as Amica on Cheap street and it's running from the 7th - 28th September.
There are so many other incredible events taking place in our town; I'd love to go along to the 'From Flax to Fibre' workshop and am so sad that I'm away on the 28th September otherwise I'd be taking my place for the 'Stitch it don't ditch it' event. I hope you can get involved in just one or two of the offerings in your local area or online - you can find out more and see the full programme HERE.
